About
Hello, I'm Zaur. It's nice to meet you on my website.

About me...

I started programming at the age of 13. Thanks to my father, my computer was weak to run “modern” games. So, I had a choice: either to do something useful with computer start programming, or just remain a user and never learn what was behind the scene...

I still remember my first "Visual Basic 6 for dummies" book. It was fun, discovering something new with every page of the book, every “experiment” was amazing (I'm sure all programmers feel the same way, when they do their first steps).

The next step was Saint Petersburg State Polytechnical University. I entered it in 2004. Many thanks to my teacher Alexander Chernosvitov, the man, who always forced us to install beta-versions of various programs and study new technologies. At that time I've learned C and C++. During the 2nd course I learned Java and C#.

There were lots of other programming languages and technologies that I learned those years. The "Operating Systems", "Knowledge-based AI" and many other course brought me to a higher level of programming, and "Math. Logic", "Optimization methods", "Numerical methods" and "Decision theory" made up my theoretical foundation.

And now, I'm a master-degree student of the Computer Science department at the University of Joensuu, Finland.

This website was built during my first summer holidays in Finland. I hope some of my articles or blog posts helped you to solve another puzzle in everlasting programming quest.

May be source be with you!
